Looks like there’s 10-12 women coming forward accussing Deshaun Watson of sexual misconduct.

The lawsuits were filed by Houston attorney Tony Buzbee, who has entered them into court on behalf of multiple clients all claiming that Watson committed at least one act of sexual misconduct or assault against them. The suits are all similar in nature: In each case, Watson is accused of acting inappropriately after hiring a female to give him a private massage.

After Watson was hit with his third lawsuit, which came on March 18, the NFL confirmed that the league has opened an investigation against the Texans quarterback to see if he violated the NFL's personal conduct policy.

A 17 game regular season is now official

The NFL has increased its regular-season schedule to 17 games, a move that was made official Tuesday and will take effect this season.

Each team will add one interconference game to its schedule, with clubs in each conference alternating years with nine home games. The NFL is also shortening the preseason to three games. This draws an end to a 43-year run for the 16-game schedule that started in 1978.

Seen some players speak against the 17th game, but was always going to happen after they agreed it in the CBA.

I mean it be great for fans - but I don't think it adds to the competition. The beauty of the NFL schedule is the equal revolving rotation every 4 years while also matching against teams intraconference equal in performance (albeit based on the previous year.) Plus most rivalries are already established intradivisionally. Do we really need the Bears vs Packers 3 times a year? Also I don't think are a large amount of interconference rivals.

Julian Edelman has been released by New England, with a failed physical designation. He has announced his retirement. A sad, but probably inevitable outcome. He is a Patriots legend, loved watching him compete.

What a career, what a story. Being cut first with a failed injury designation means he can collect a $2m injury benefit under the CBA (not that he'll need the money!)

Looks like Aaron Rodgers will be back for one more year in Green Bay and then off to somewhere else.
Reports are that his ultimatum was that they bring back Randall Cobb to play alongside him. And that a trade is in motion to make that happen now. Slightly odd given Amari Rodgers is already likely filling that playing a role with the team, but I guess it gives his ego something so it doesn't appear like he totally folded coming back.

Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson, 24, tests positive for COVID-19 for a second time and could miss 10 days if it's revealed he STILL isn't vaccinated
  • Former NFL MVP Lamar Jackson has tested positive for COVID-19 for a second time and consequently missed Baltimore's first practice of training camp
  • Jackson missed one game last season, in Week 12, when he first tested positive for the novel coronavirus. It's not known if he's been vaccinated since then
  • If not, he will need to quarantine for 10 days and test negative before returning

Jamal Adams is the highest-paid safety in the NFL - by a wide margin.

CBS Sports NFL Insider Jason La Canfora confirmed Adams and the Seattle Seahawks have agreed to a four-year, $70 million contract extension making him the highest-paid safety in NFL history (in terms of average annual value).

The deal can reach up to $72 million.
