I'm not a huge fan of Britney Spears' music, but I really enjoyed reading this book. It was insightful, eye-opening, and enlightening. It's an easy read, but the honest truth hits raw at times. Such an open and honest account that must have been hard to write.

When reading, I was at times happy for her, worried for her, horrified and just so very sad for her. Emotions were high and varied. I felt so angry at how people that she trusted, who should have supported her, betrayed her and worked against her. Take away the famous name and advertise this as a novel, and you could be forgiven for putting this on the shelf with thrillers. There is so much in this journey that an author could use it as a framework for a series of books across a range of genres.

Britney tells her story simply and to the point. Events are expanded upon, and I have gained a much greater understanding of who Britney is as a person and what she has gone through. It is horrific that these things happened to her and are still happening to others.

I enjoyed reading the book for the most part although I had a hard time getting into it.

I like it when the focus of the novel is on the original murder club "team" as we have become familiar with the characters and they are like old friends. This book introduced new characters, and the relationships seemed more watered down, and the issues involved became more confusing.

I hope the next novel concentrates on the original characters, including Bogdan, Chris, and Donna; however, I think it's time to write "Connie" out, but we wish her well!

The ending was very well written and gripping, and I couldn't put it down. On that basis, I would say it is still a very good read.

This book is a gripping thriller that dives into the complexities of love, betrayal, and the lengths one might go to in order to protect their family.

I rated this book 4 out of 5 stars. The pacing is quick, with short chapters that kept me turning the pages. Naomi's journey is both heartbreaking and thrilling; I found myself yelling at her decisions at times, which only added to the intensity of the read. The author does a fantastic job of building suspense, and there are definitely some shocking moments that left me on the edge of my seat.

TRIGGER ALERT
One thing to note is that the book includes some themes that may be triggering for some readers, so it's worth checking the author's website for trigger warnings if that's a concern for you.

I found "On Wings of Blood" to be an entertaining read, though it had its ups and downs.

The world-building is rich, with a captivating mix of magic and power struggles. The relationship between Medra and Blake is complex, filled with tension and attraction, which I enjoyed despite some predictable tropes. The book is packed with action, secrets, and a sense of urgency that kept me turning the pages.

However, I did find myself rolling my eyes at certain moments, particularly with the character dynamics and some clichés in the plot.

"Body of Lies" dives into a gripping narrative where human suspicion meets AI manipulation. The story kicks off with the murder of a local MP on Halloween, accompanied by a chilling message in binary code that seems to taunt Kat Frank. As she investigates, the political implications of the victim's anti-AI stance come to light, leading to a complex web of deception.

As the fourth and final book in the series, I found myself both satisfied and longing for more. The author has done an excellent job of weaving together themes of AI ethics, personal loss, and the complexities of human relationships. I appreciated how Kat's character evolved, especially in her relationship with Lock, as she grapples with her biases against AI.

The tension throughout the book kept me on the edge of my seat, especially with the added threat to innocent lives. I often found myself second-guessing characters and their motives, which is a testament to Callaghan's skill in crafting suspenseful narratives.

Gutted this is the last book but think the author done well to keep us interested for the four books and question AI use, grief, love, friendship, integrity, police work and family!

Demon Copperhead is a decent read based on the impact of the opioid crisis in Appalachia. It is a story of survival, really.

I recently finished reading "Death Comes to Marlow", I've rated it 4 out of 5 stars, and I found it to be a compelling read that balances humour and suspense effectively. If you're a fan of cosy mysteries or looking for a new book to dive into, I highly recommend giving it a try.

The dynamics among Judith, Suzie, and Becks are rich and engaging, showcasing their growth since the last instalment. Thorogood expertly crafts a plot filled with twists and turns that keeps readers on the edge of their seats. The picturesque town of Marlow serves as a perfect backdrop for the unfolding drama, adding depth to the story.
