A legitimate question. Do you think that people have become to critical with social media. People just always seem angry to me nowadays. This comes with movies, tv, games, and pretty much anything. It is a bit ridiculous IMO. People feel so entitled with their social media that their voice is the only one that matters. They bash literally everything. I look at movies for example. People will constantly complain about movies, yet praise some of the movies that would be regarded as TERRIBLE now. I go into movies (and any entertainment) to have fun. No movie is perfect. There are comedies, dramas, action, etc. Some will fail in some aspects and succeed in others.
Not all students have missed out or are falling behind. Many who engaged with their lessons/teachers over the lockdowns are doing just fine. Those that did very little school work in the lockdowns did miss out and are falling behind. Some because of lack of devices/connection but many because there was no one there to ensure they did the work. Many because parents had to work so couldn’t supervise, some because they and their parents don’t value learning and/or couldn’t be bothered. It is a complex issue and providing an extra half hour a day will not solve the problem for those who really need it.
Apparently, it's been almost a decade since her 60th so, yeah. And trust me, we here in Canada won't get a four day celebration. Maybe a royal visit at most (And given QEII's age, it probably won't be her. Likely either Charles or William.) While I am a republican as well, I'd wait until I see what replaces it before I celebrate. After the farce South of me, I am now suspicious of elected executive branches. Perhaps a ceremonial president like Israel and Germany, but that still leaves the problem of how to choose them in a way that best represents the nation. Election by Parliament strikes me as just opening the door to political BS. In some way, a hereditary monarch with limited powers may actually be the lesser evil. I just wish we Canadians had our own instead of borrowing someone else's.
Getting inked does not appeal to me and even gives me the willies at bit when I see where some people have them.. That said, they spook me less than piercings. And I've seen some nice ones with definite artistic merit so I'm not opposed to their existence or anything. Just don't ask me to get one or watch someone else getting one. Seeing the final product is quite enough, thanks.
