The only word I can think of to describe Witkoff is, contemptible.

The post sets a basic framework for discussion but lacks specific topics or questions to guide the conversation. It would benefit from more detail to enhance community engagement.
The thread opens as a civil discussion space but quickly turns into a stream of alarm and anger over Trump’s handling of crises, especially Covid-19, misinformation, and reckless public messaging. Participants repeatedly argue that his statements are false, destructive, and emblematic of a broader collapse in presidential standards.12
As the election approaches and then unfolds, the conversation shifts toward fears of voter suppression, refusal to accept defeat, and possible unrest. Members speculate about attempts to delegitimize mail-in ballots, pressure institutions, and undermine a peaceful transfer of power, with several concluding that his supporters and allies will continue the conflict beyond any single election outcome.34
The middle of the thread is dominated by criminal and civil cases, with reactions to indictments, fraud findings, the E. Jean Carroll verdict, and repeated calls for accountability. Even when some legal setbacks are noted, the prevailing view is that Trump will weaponize them politically, exploit the courts as a campaign platform, and avoid meaningful punishment.56
Later posts focus on the second term’s foreign-policy and domestic fallout: tariffs, threats against allies, attacks on Ukraine, Gaza rhetoric, executive overreach, and growing comparisons to authoritarian rule. The tone hardens into exasperation, with users describing the administration as chaotic, unhinged, and dangerous both to the US and to the wider world.78
"The House has just voted to impeach President Trump for the second time"
"The jury has found former US President Donald Trump GUILTY of falsifying business records"
No real consensus is reached beyond broad agreement that Trump is destabilizing institutions and normalizing extreme behavior. The thread leaves open whether legal, electoral, or institutional checks will meaningfully restrain him, but participants overwhelmingly view the trajectory as dangerous.
The truly insane part is how everyone has just accepted this complete toddler behaviour as normal. The standard keeps dropping with every day that passes. If this is where we are now, I shudder to think where we'll be in two years time.Still really struggle to comprehend this world we live in. The shit Trump and his croonies do and say and get away with. Unbelievable.
Europe has been weak with both Trump and Russia. The only person who has stood up to Trump is Mark Carney. The US government bullies and mocks and spreads outrageous lies about EU countries and the UK at every opportunity while praising Russia, and the strongest response the UK government can muster is this half-baked, vague disagreement. FFS, when will any government come out and label the entire Trump government as loathsome, corrupt, amoral scumbags? If one country took the lead, the rest would follow. But no one has the nerve to do it.
