Hopefully it's a better race than last year's race here. Not a great track though.

George Russell secured pole position with Carlos Sainz will line up alongside him. The second row will be Pierre Gasly and Charles Leclerc.

But the driver championship contenders are farther back. Max Verstappen will line up fifth, while Lando Norris will be beside him, qualifying sixth. Sixty-two points separate the Dutchman and Briton, and Verstappen needs to beat Norris to secure his fourth consecutive title.

Great pole for Russell. Mercedes has looked good all weekend, so far. And, another excellent drive by Sainz and also Gasly.

Rightly so, all the attention will be on Verstappen and Norris but it will be a good battle between Russell and the two Ferraris too.

I genuinely think Ferrari will regret letting Sainz go, this isn't the Lewis Hamilton of a few years back and Sainz seems to be getting better as it goes on.

George Russell wins the Las Vegas Grand Prix, with Lewis Hamilton beside him on the podium for a Mercedes 1-2 finish.

Here's how the top 10 finished.
  1. George Russell (Mercedes)
  2. Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes)
  3. Carlos Sainz (Ferrari)
  4. Charles Leclerc (Ferrari)
  5. Max Verstappen (Red Bull)
  6. Lando Norris (McLaren)
  7. Oscar Piastri (McLaren)
  8. Nico Hulkenberg (Haas)
  9. Yuki Tsunoda (RB)
  10. Sergio Perez (Red Bull)
But the day belongs to Max Verstappen. For the fourth time in as many seasons, the Dutchman was crowned Formula One world champion.

Tom

It was not the best race, but plenty happened during the whole race, so it was a fairly decent watch overall.

4 in a row for Max! A very mature drive from him today to just focus on the job at hand.
