28 Years Later Movie Thread

28 Days Later was genuinely terrifying and unsettling. Some of the visuals and sounds in that movie stay with you, like those George Miller-esque tight face zooms on infected faces and some of the screams in it.

28 Weeks Later had a great opening scene (funnily enough the only part of that movie Danny Boyle directed) and the rest of it was just bleh, despite having good actors involved. Still annoyed at that kiss scene in terms of the plot and how stupid it was in the grand scheme of things.

So I'm interested to see how they do with this one. Boyle and Garland are great together.

I thought the first one was good, for me it worked, good eerie music, the opening deserted scenes in London. It had its faults but overall one of the best zombie films I have seen.

28 Weeks later was dreadful, the decent cast deserved a better film.

This one looks like it will have a decent cast too, hopefully with better results than its predecessor.

Danny Boyle's upcoming film has made history as the largest movie ever filmed using smartphones.

Shot with modified iPhone 15 Pro Max cameras, the $75 million zombie thriller follows the groundbreaking '28 Days Later' and '28 Weeks Later'.

The film marks a technological leap, echoing the innovative approach Boyle took with the original '28 Days Later', which was filmed with a then-cutting-edge Canon XL-1 camcorder.

I only watched about 20 minutes of this before turning it off. Absolute cliched shite. Ooh, there's a zombie crawling around eating guts. Terrifying (not). Now, they're running at me, shoot them with an arrow and make their head explode! Repeat.

Lots of camera cutting and shaking to attempt to make things terrifying/interesting.

I thought Danny Boyle might have more about him than this rubbish. Couldn't be arsed with it. Looked very low budget.
