My expectations for this franchise have become nonexistent, so if this is even half decent it'll be quite the achievement.

A recent rewatch of the Assembly Cut of Alien 3 made me appreciate it in a new light; a recent rewatch of ...Resurrection confirmed it was always garbage.

And coming to cinemas too, which is nice.

Yeah, nobody should get too excited of course. But FWIW I did enjoy the teaser more than I expected to; gory scenes, some body horror, a cast of relative unknowns, claustrophobic setting, and fast as fuck facehuggers.

The trailer did what a trailer should do, get me excited.

As Recycling Bin and Silverback have already stated, not getting my expectations up but it does look promising.

Looks like they might have finally remembered that Alien is a horror film set in space, looks promising.

That looks like they've finally cracked the Alien franchise. Really looks great. It's got Alien Isolation (the game) vibes at times, with a mix of Alien/Aliens. On top of a bunch of unknown actors. Brilliant.
