Army of the Dead (2021) Movie Thread

I have to say I have been looking forward to this since it was announced by Netflix two years ago as I actually really liked Snyder's Dawn of the Dead.

More interested in this than his Justice League movie anyway.

As said, Dawn Of The Dead was really good. I'm a fan of Garret Dillahunt, and you can only assume Bautista is well suited for this sort of movie.

Bautista looks like he might be the next Dwayne Johnson in terms of making the jump from wrestling star to movie star. He's had some good parts.

Not generally a zombie fan (beyond the original Romero movies) but this looks like it might a fun one.

One quibble with the plot would be the value of cash in a post apocalyptic world?

Not sure how I feel about the "Zombie tribe" idea. Was hoping for something a little more standard, but we'll see. Still looks like it could be a bit of fun.

I liked it, although the camera work is a bit annoying/off-putting at times as it has this distorted/out of focus effect in some scenes.

Well I thought it was awful. Horribly paced, full of really dumb sub plots and could have easily been 90mins instead of 150. I'm all for dumb fun movies but this was horrible in every department.

Watched it last night. I thought it was average at best. It's nonsense, far too long, far too clichéd and way too many slow mo and "nods" to other movies, including quite a lot just blatantly stolen but not a bad way to spend a Sunday night.
