The post expresses an interesting perspective on England's squad, but it could benefit from more detailed analysis to provide deeper insights. Overall, it's on-topic but lacks some depth.

Will be interesting to see how England perform in this competition. This could potentially be Gareth Southgate's last tournament in charge and he has gone with form players over the usual "favourites".

I think they are a little light on experience and don't have the best defence but they have an array of attacking talent and should easily qualify from one of the weaker groups.

Do you think Trent Alexander-Arnold will be playing in midfield along with Rice?

I would go with.

Pickford.

3 central defenders.
Walker, Stones, Guehi.
Right wb TAA
Left wb Gordon.

3 central midfielders.
Mainoo, Rice, Bellingham.

2 forwards.
Foden, Kane.

Apparently Southgate wants to play TAA in midfield. They may get away with that in the group stages but better teams will expose his poor defensive abilities.

England XI: Jordan Pickford, Kyle Walker, John Stones, Marc Guehi, Kieran Trippier, Declan Rice, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Bukayo Saka, Jude Bellingham, Phil Foden, Harry Kane.

Subs: Shaw, Ramsdale, Konsa, Dunk, Gallagher, Toney, Gordon, Watkins, Bowen, Eze, Gomez, Henderson, Palmer, Wharton, Mainoo.

Strange decision to play TAA in this game for me. Not sure who's going to be running in behind to get his Hollywood long balls.

He'll get bullied in that midfield battle.

If they play with the likes of Mainoo, Gordon, Palmer then England should get to the final without breaking a sweat. I really can't see any danger in that side of the draw apart from Austria to an extent but I think their effectiveness will lessen the further they get and England can't face them for a while yet. Italy were lucky to get second in their group and look toothless and the Dutch do not look convincing.

UEFA will open an investigation into Jude Bellingham following England's Euro 2024 victory over Slovakia on Sunday.

UEFA's disciplinary bodies do not comment on their investigations. However, they are understood to be looking into a gesture made by Bellingham following his dramatic equaliser in the 95th minute in Gelsenkirchen.
