Ancient Egyptian's were a very resourceful and skilled civilisation, I've been to the Valley of the Kings, it's an incredible feat of engineering. As are so many of their temples. One place we went to they had this well type structure that they used to measure the height of the nearby Nile and know when it was going to flood. And there were medical tools some of which you'd recognise today.
