I'm a huge MK fan. I love how this is looking, wish the cinemas were open to see it properly though

It's ticking all my boxes, I am excite. Not sure the gruff voices were needed for when the characters (specifically Scorpion ad Sub-Zero) talk in uniform. But everything else looks awesome (although Kanos eye laser looked a bit... off). Loads of characters, plenty of gore, good looking fighting and what looks like decent acting, I'm sold! Like what they did with the theme too.

I watched that trailer with a bit of a smile on my face, hopefully it's a blast.

Kano's laser eye sound effect and Goro's terrible cartoon look aside - this looks pretty fun.

I don't think the budget is spectacular so they probably invested where it mattered such as Sub Zero.

People are crapping on Jax's arm exploding but I laughed at the absurdity of it all.....just like I would laugh at the absurdity of the fatalities in the games. I mean as far as I'm concerned that's mission accomplished.

The release date has been pushed back by a week now till April 23th.

I think HBO worked out that if people signed up for just a month the day the Snyder cut got released they would have gotten the Snyder Cut, Godzilla vs Kong and Mortal Kombat all in the one month.

Isn't this available anywhere to watch in the UK today?

I've checked Google Play, Sky Movies and Netflix. I was hoping to watch it tonight or tomorrow.

Well it's available now in the UK for anyone interested.

It was ok, I can't really say more than that. Some really embraced their characters, others just didn't work. Having Lewis Tan, a very charismatic guy, playing someone so utterly bland is mystifying.

For anyone that's a fan of the MK mythos I don't think this was the film they would have been hoping for. It was just generic.

Watched it this afternoon.

Thought it was fairly decent for what it was - good gory fun, wouldn't win any recognition for acting or storyline, the whole thing does play out like a half-baked video game. Was about as good as I expected.

I wouldn't say it's better than the original movie - it's actually more stupid, but it's much more violent and obviously has vastly superior CGI.

Most of the characters were pretty cool and well realised on screen, but the main guy was really weak. The whole opening scene with Scorpion and Sub-Zero really should have been the foundation of the movie, not the central character.
