Chimp Empire on Netflix is a brilliant watch. It's directed by the same guy who did My Octopus Teacher, they follow the largest chimp community in the world and show how the society is structured and how they interact with rival groups.

Here's a little update for those who have already seen it (contains spoilers).

Quality viewing. Tough to watch.

Amazing that it was all happening just a few years back

9/11: One Day in America

I've watched two episodes of this on Disney+. It's very hard to put into words. The raw details. People clinging to the buildings, jumping, the sound of the bodies landing. The glass. The FDNY chaplain visibly praying. An Irish guy caught up in it. The disfigurements. The ATC audio. The final phone calls. Strength, courage.

Watched The Pez Outlaw over the weekend on Netflix. One hour documentary and it's excellent. Highly recommend

In The Name Of Gerry Conlon - A excellent but horrendous portrait of government/police corruption and brutality in the aftermath of the IRA attacks in Guildford and Birmingham. None of the victims, from either perspective, saw justice served, the bomb victims real killers never served time (even though they confessed), and the police/ministers were unaccountable for their actions. Britain at its very worst.

Watched the official FIFA film of the 1970 World Cup. It's called The World At Their Feet. Its shot on 35mm and its very much of its time. Great to see some of those players in action. It's free to stream on the FIFA website. Gonna watch Germany '74 next.

Just watched this documentary about disinformation. Really hits home how insidious conspiracy theories can be.

Really enjoyed this

Hundreds of Nazi war criminals fled to Australia after World War Two hoping to start over and avoid prosecution. Not all of them found the refuge they had sought; quite a few died prematurely in freak accidents or by taking their own lives, or at least that was how their deaths were reported.

In this real-life murder mystery, three Australian Jewish brothers investigate whether their father and uncle, the sole survivors of a large Eastern European family, may have been involved in these mysterious deaths.
