This is the latest scam doing the rounds, many people are getting a text message telling them to apply for £400 energy bills rebate, THIS IS A SCAM.
Anyone clicking on the link is led to a spoofed government site (it looks exactly like the government site but you can see its fake as the address is gov.com and not the authentic gov.uk), and asked to enter their personal information including bank details.
I hope no one falls for this. Energy bills rebate will be paid automatically, no one needs to apply for it.
