Bat Out Of Hell was a favourite album during my student days. What him and Steinman did made them legends.

Sad to hear the news this morning. Not my usual musical taste, but I always had a soft spot for the grandeur of Bat Out Of Hell, and he was great in Fight Club.
Rock and Rock opera in particular have lost an icon.
The musicality of Bat Out Of Hell and of Meat Loaf's work with Steinman is IMO brilliant. There was a near-constant loop of Bat Out Of Hell on the radio and in my house growing up.

An absolute one-off legend whose music will still be listened to many years after his death. He was a great showman with a great stage presence. The music and songs were fantastic, will never tire of hearing his best hits.
