Plot: New York Times reporter Sydney Schanberg is on assignment covering the Cambodian Civil War, with the help of local interpreter Dith Pran and American photojournalist Al Rockoff. When the U.S. Army pulls out amid escalating violence, Schanberg makes exit arrangements for Pran and his family. Pran, however, tells Schanberg he intends to stay in Cambodia to help cover the unfolding story — a decision he may regret as the Khmer Rouge rebels move in.

Fantastic film.

I went to the Killing Fields a couple of years ago. Harrowing hardly describes it. Came out of there too shocked to speak.

I have been too, all those skulls, puts life into perspective when your standing there. I think when you go you only a see a glimpse (a big one at that) of what happened but you're aware how widespread it was. Fascinating but horrific at the same time.

Was there a few year back and went in a group with a guide. There's still bones just laying about and the guide was getting visibly upset as he was giving his families story about the whole thing.

For me, the killing tree was especially harrowing.

Magnificent film, the last scene gets me every time.
