This was an interesting read. It was an easy-to-read history of the Vitelli family in imperial Rome, who I'd never heard of. I did get a bit mixed up with the Latin names which were quite similar. It told the story of their lives, mostly of eating and lying around spouting poetry and play-acting. The rivalries of course were everywhere and life was very short. They seemed to be fond of telling people to commit suicide as a way of sentencing them to death. They also were not ashamed of committing incest if it suited and having multiple marriages, great lads the Roman Emperors!
