The post is engaging and invites community interaction, but it could benefit from more detail about the traditions mentioned.

With Easter coming up, I'm curious to see if anybody else has any traditions. My family have always had a big party since before I can remember. There has always been all of the aunties, uncles, cousins and kids etc.

We get drunk, eat food, have an egg hunt, a music quiz, dance and usually conga round the garden :ROFLMAO:

Your family is just a bunch of alcoholics who like any excuse for a party ? ?

We don't do anything special other than have a "fancier" meal than usual and eat loads of chocolate.

No party but we do usually have family and extend family get togethers

Right now? Any other day. Maybe actually go to church but that's about it. In my birth family, though, it was a big deal. Easter Sunday church service, hunt for chocolate eggs, baskets with gifts and chocolate bunnies, grandparents over for dinner.

In normal times we have a family gathering, do an egg hunt, egg painting, face painting etc and have an Easter meal.

Our family usually makes a day of it, everyone round to the one house for a "special" meal, some games with the kids then later a few drinks for the adults as the Monday is a holiday so no work - a lot different this year though, probably just dropping off baskets with Easter eggs at the doors.

For everyone? In most of Canada Good Friday is a stat holiday but Easter Monday is a "bank holiday" so schools and some offices like banks are closed but retail and most other offices are open. Even the universities don't get it in Ontario, just K-12 schools.

It's my daughter's birthday on Easter Sunday this year, so we'll definitely try and make a day of it.. :)
