By all accounts, it's a completely different movie. Snyder had shot it, but Warner's wanted a more lighter "Marvel" kinda style. So he was replaced with Joss Whedon - there is some debate as to whether he was sacked or replaced when his daughter committed suicide but he was removed from the production.

Saw somewhere that only about 20 minutes of the original footage was used.

I'm not massively into these DC films but ive read about this before and found it quite fascinating. I do think the mystique of it would have a greater legacy than the released film.

Its over 4 hours long!!!

Ridiculous length of time for a movie but at least you can pause it and have a break at home.

Will probably watch it but not expecting much to be honest

Outside of Batman, I am more of a Marvel guy so have largely ignored the Warner-DC films and TV shows. So I am a bit meh on the foofuraw around this recut.

And even the MCU has largely passed me by. I have seen maybe 3 of them.

Definitely an improvement on the original and kept my attention even at 4 hours. I enjoy the genre and it has opened up a lot of possibilities moving forward. The problem I have with DC is that unlike the Marvel movies I do not feel an emotional attachment to any of the characters, not sure if this is the writing or actors, maybe a little of both

This one was better but still had issues.

Overall, I enjoyed it. Its a bit of a slog in places, and its more depressing than edgy/dark.... but I still enjoyed it.
