The post is relevant and straightforward, but lacks specific questions or comparisons that would make it more engaging and useful for others. Additional details about the user's requirements for broadband could improve the quality of the inquiry.

I've narrowed my search for new broadband down to these two. Anyone able to shed some light on who offers the better broadband?

I've been looking for new broadband for a while but I now need to set up a better service than I currently have as I'm going to be home working a lot more in the post-covid19 world.

I have never bothered with Sky TBH. Been on the cable since the beginning. Virgin are OK, but the phone land-line is extortionate and also I cannot get Sky Atlantic which I would like. But on the other hand, I get the BT Sport thrown in for nowt, which is good for the footy when it's on.

We've got Sky. It's decent but I'm near the exchange. My dad has Virgin and it seems to drop out a lot. I think Virgin is faster but more expensive.

I'm with Virgin and it has gone up to £44 a month for just the broadband. I do the "I'm going to leave" thing with them every year but they are not budging this year.

Have you actually put your notice in or just said you were going to leave.

Usually if you do that you will get a phone call with them offering you a deal.

I've blacklisted Virgin for their dodgy business practices - door-to-door sales, cancellation issues, monopoly in poorer areas.

Sky can be very expensive if you're out of contract, but generally you can get some pretty good deals and I've always found their call agents to be friendly.
