Does anyone on here subscribe to Kindle Unlimited?

Seems OK for £8 a month and Amazon says they have over 1 million books on it to download.

Does anyone recommend it or should I steer clear?

I've used it for a while now, find plenty of books I like.

Try the 1 month free, you can always cancel your subscription. Some of the authors you will never have heard but they have to start somewhere.

Kindle Unlimited is worth it depending on how much you read. For me, during the summer months, I read pretty much all day out in the garden so I subscribed and loved it but I've cancelled it now as I barely read during the winter months and it's not worth the £7.99.

I guess it would depend on how many Kindle books you already buy on average each month and how much they cost. If, for example, you only buy a book once every other month or less then it may not be worth it.

I've noticed quite a few recipe books are on Kindle Unlimited, so it might be worth it if you like to browse them on a tablet, which I did with a free trial.

But most of the books I want to read for normal reading are not on it, plus I've already got so many that have downloaded, but not got round to reading, and many more I'm resisting buying, so it's a waste for me.

It's not 'ethical' but if you use it for recipes, or saving any articles, on a tablet you can always screenshot it and then you'll have the image on your tablet to keep even if you leave Kindle Unlimited.
