The way he set out to destroy people's lives was worse than the actual doping itself.
Arguably if he hadn't done that to Landis he could have gotten away with it (or kept it hidden for longer anyway) as that was what set in motion the downfall

The thing with Lemond and referring to his childhood abuse is just twisted and sick

I was gutted when it finally was confirmed what an awful cheat and bully he was. I followed him, read his books and was inspired by his story. He smashed everything and everyone, his cancer and comeback, what a story I thought.

I love Tour de France and all it involves as a sport still, just now I'm sceptical who the hell isn't cheating. Assume the difference between legal and illegal enhancers is narrow margins now, just Lance took it to another level.

What a fascinating documentary

I was in France on holiday when he won his 7th Tour, I had read his book and he was a sporting hero of mine then - totally believable in his denial of doping. Obviously, when it all unravelled for him I lost any respect for him

Watching this I hadn't realised what a vile human he was. Terrible person and seems to have no remorse for what he did and huge amounts of bitterness and resentment. His only concern seemed to be the loss of money from his doping. Floyd Landis came over really well and seemed pretty broken by what he had gone through

Really worth a watch

Definitely a wrong'un. I thought he was a vile piece of work who threw people under the bus and not once did he tell the truth.

It's very good, though you don't learn anything new. It just reinforces what a vile piece of shit he is.

Just brayed through the audiobook of "The Secret Race" by Tyler Hamilton. One of the best book I've read/listened to. Had me hooked from start to finish. Would normally take me a month or so to get through a 12hr book as I normally mix my listening up with podcasts and music but brayed through this one in about a week

Could have forgiven him for being a cheat, even made an excuse that he was a cheat in a field of cheats but the fact he was a full twat to boot and ruined people's lives in the process was the straw the broke the camel's back while it rode to its seven tour titles.

As someone who has only took a casual interest in cycling over the years, can someone answer me something. Armstrong has rightfully been hammered for what he did, but how does it differ to the others who cheated? Am I right in thinking Alberto Contador was caught cheating and was back after a couple years racing again?
