Totally agree, here's what I said previously in the Outer Hebrides threadAre you planning on going by yourself or with the family?
I definitely recommend Harris and Skye. If you have the opportunity to go in the summer and the weather is decent the beaches on Harris are beautiful. Luskentyre beach is one of my favourite places ever and Scarista beach is lovely too.
There is probably more to do on Skye than on Harris but you'd need to check nearer the time to see if lockdown restriction have been in place although the islands have mainly been in lower tiers than the mainland.
If you've never been to Harris or Lewis, when you do get there be prepared to see some of the best beaches in the world and get used to being on them with just your family.

The ferries are all extortionate. It is one thing that put me off making weekend trips to the islands when I stayed in Tyndrum. At the time it was £20 each way, put me off a bit. I will do it one day though
