The initial "explosion" on the Hindenburg. It's thought now that the material used to cover the frame of the airship had been treated with a waterproof but flammable resin. With so much static around Lakehurst, due to a thunderstorm, the landing ropes then acted as a conductor.

It's from this incident, from radio coverage of the landing, that the phrase "Oh, the humanity" originated.

Taken on the 29th of August, 1952, during the Korean War.

Accepting her fate as an orphan of war, "Miss Hap", a two-week old Korean Kitten, chows down on canned milk, piped to her by medicine dropper with the help of Marine Sergeant Frank Praytor.

The Marine adopted the kitten after its mother was killed by a mortar barrage near Bunker Hill. The name, Miss Hap, Sergeant Praytor explained, was given to the kitten "because she was born at the wrong place at the wrong time."

'Mis Hap' was reunited with Frank Prayor after the war. Frank Praytor passed away in New Mexico on January the 10th, 2018, aged 90.
