The Widower (2014) TV Thread

I watched this last night. It's quite old, made in 2014 and originally on ITV. I was vaguely familiar with the main parts of the story, I think it was maybe covered in a true crime podcast as I cannot remember it being on the news.

Excellent performances from everyone involved, especially Reece Shearsmith, who is mesmerising in his portrayal of wife killer Malcolm Webster and there are stunning performances by Archie Panjabi (Simone Bannerjee), Kate Fleetwood (Felicity Webster) and Sheridan Smith (Claire Webster).

I haven't seen this, but I can remember the story. He was a real creep, and if my memory serves me right, didn't he tell the women he was suffering from a terminal illness?

Yes, claimed he had leukaemia at least once.

There's a lot more to the story than was shown in this series.
