I read the book recently and was sceptical as to how they could turn it into a good movie, but was surprised at how good the trailers have looked.

Loved the book, loved the audiobook even more, and the film even bettered the ending than the book. Loads of good bits missed out, but hoping for a 3hr+ director's cut.

Probably the first film adaption where nothing has disappointed me from the book/audiobook.

Saw this last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. Thought it could have turned into a slog because of the run time but it flew by. The score is fantastic as is Ryan Gosling.

This is a fantastic movie.

They could have made at least 2 movies, if not 3, with how dense the book is in comparison. It is impressive how much they were able to keep in.

There is really only one major plot line missing, and it's not even missed, to be honest. The rest is just the book being able to develop things more slowly and deeply. Some of that is because you are in the perspective of Grace, and some is because the book just has more time to work with.
