A requirement for you to play and install Fallout: London is for you to own Fallout 4 and all of its DLCs or the Game of the year edition on GOG or Steam. (Fallout 4 – High Resolution Texture Pack is not a requirement). Ensure you are using the pre-next-gen version (Notes below).

Currently it is a requirement that if you own the game on Steam, for you to downgrade Fallout 4 to the pre next gen (Fallout 4 1.10.163.0) release of the game.

Fallout London Downgrader and Addons

In recent announcements, Team FOLON has confirmed that the first downloadable content (DLC) for Fallout: London, titled "Rabbit and Pork," will require players to start a fresh save. This decision comes after a period of relative silence from the developers regarding the mod's future updates.

The Rabbit and Pork DLC promises to introduce various new side quests, although it won't add any main quest content. Project lead Dean 'Prilladog' Carter elaborated on their Discord server, explaining that this initial DLC also incorporates numerous fixes and new content, which is why a new save is required. Notably, Team FOLON has expressed their commitment to ensuring that future DLCs will not similarly mandate new saves, allowing players to continue their existing games with minimal disruption.

The necessity of a new save for the first DLC is not entirely unexpected, as players have been advised to start anew with each significant update to avoid compatibility issues. The modding team has acknowledged the inconvenience this poses and is actively working on solutions to minimise the need for fresh starts in the future.

Fans can anticipate a more extensive main quest to be featured in the third DLC, "Wildcard," which will allow players to influence the game's outcome without aligning with the existing factions. Meanwhile, the second DLC, "Last Orders," is expected to follow a pub theme, hinting at a rich narrative experience.
