Sifu
Is one life enough to know Kung Fu?
Whether you choose to play as a male or a female character, in Sifu, you will ponder that question on your path for revenge, hunting down your family's assassins. One against all, you have no allies, countless enemies, and a mysterious amulet to bring you back to life every time you die. Yet, be warned! Your secret weapon comes with a hefty price to pay: aging and its consequences.

Learning by fire
Your enemies don't wait their turn, and they don't broadcast their intent. Dodge, parry, strike, use combos and be like water making its way through captivating environments. Learn how to master your art, whether by fighting through the underbelly of a nightclub, scrambling through a refined gallery to avoid getting surrounded, or vertically navigating a towering office building.

Adaptation is survival
Careful positioning and clever use of the environment to your advantage are key to your survival. Use everything at your disposal: throwable objects, makeshift weapons, windows, and ledges. The odds are stacked against you, and you will be offered no mercy.

Training never ends
Kung Fu is mastery through practice, a path for both the body and the mind. Learn from your errors, unlock unique skills, and find the strength within yourself to master the devastating techniques of Pak-Mei Kung Fu.

The post provides a personal experience that many players can relate to, but it lacks clarity in terms of specifics about the game mechanics. A bit more detail on strategies or tips would enhance its value.

I've had two goes at this now and can't make it past the club level so going back to redo level one to try and get a better move set going forward, I like it but it is really difficult and I think for me outside of the 1st level boss who absolutely battered me that the most of the damage comes in when your surrounded by groups, all about getting better though.

I see this is on sale in the Xbox Store. I've been tempted a few times but never bought it, is it any good?

It can definitely be frustrating at times. Some big hits (like the grabs from the big goons or bottle throws from enemies) can come at you with very little warning or when you're trying to avoid an attack from someone else. But the gameplay can also just be so satisfying at times, especially when you're in a flow.

This game is good. Really good but very difficult.

I hadn't played it in a while, so gave it a spin earlier after seeing the posts here. Couldn't last 10 minutes in the first level!

The final content update for Sifu is on the way, and you'll be able to try it out come September 7.

After releasing on all platforms and PC last spring, the final content update sees the Arenas Mode expand, unveiling more unseen locations. It also introduces new battles against familiar goons, bosses, and unexpected faces.

It contains six additional Arenas, 75 challenges, more modifiers and cheats, and film-inspired outfits. You will also encounter zombie-like enemies, doppelgangers, and interactive environments, testing your reflexes and strategies.

This is now available on Xbox Game Pass.

It is an addictive little game. The combat is fantastic.

Going to revisit it this evening :)

I can't get by The Club stage. The difficulty level is brutal.
