Eventful race last year with tire fails and brake magic and Astons on the poduim. Will it be more of the same? Will the really really long straight show more bouncing than previous races?

Latifi and Schumacher had car trouble so no times for them

FP2 Results

Seen Alonso flying in FP2 before this season, failed to live up to expectations yet.

Alonso over Sainz is quite the news for me. Still, it's likely Sainz will achieve P3 or P4.

Perez also getting ahead of Max shows he is committed to fighting against him. If no problems with the engine or crashes should be a tight duel. Leclerc is also there and might get P1 but Ferrari's lack of speed in the long track may be a burden for him.

Leclerc gets pole with a great lap but the two Red Bulls pushed him. Checo gets on the front row and must be considered a title contender this year.

Ferrari and Red Bull are so far ahead of the rest of the field

Should be an interesting race tomorrow with safety cars/red flags a possibility, midfield seems on top of each other so hopefully some good racing there. If Perez and Verstappen can get past Leclerc it will be interesting to see if team orders come into play, I can't envisage Checo being too keen to be a team player this time around.

Ferrari with a brand new set of mediums could be hoping for a safety car in the final 10-15 laps.

I could support a Sergio championship run I think

Ferrari are going to get eaten on the straights, it will be 1 and 2 for RBR.

Verstappen will have Leclerc as soon as DRS is operational. He was so close already
