Delta Force: Hawks Ops
Delta Force, the iconic free-to-play first-person tactical shooter is now back! With 25 years of defining the genre, Delta Force now features three distinct gameplay modes: large-scale PvP warfare, intense extraction shooter action, and the legendary Black Hawk Down campaign.

Delta Force features a variety of both single- and multi-player modes that take place over two distinct timeframes.

- In 1993 you'll be boots-on-the-ground as an elite Delta Force operator as we recreate the much-loved Delta Force - Black Hawk Down campaign using the latest Unreal Engine graphics technology.

- In 2035 you'll take on the role of an elite member of G.T.I., a peace-keeping force founded by former Delta operators. Your mission: deploy to the mysterious region of Ahsarah and investigate the illegal activities of the Haavk Corporation.

Utilize clever combat gadgets, work closely with your squadmates, and execute cunning strategies in order to complete your mission. We need the best of the best, soldier - that's where you come in!

Tom

The original Delta Force games were brilliant back in the day. Not sure about this game though.

Looks decent.

The single-player campaign will be based on Black Hawk Down. It will be nice to get a story-driven military shooter.

Join the Delta Force: Hawk Ops Open Beta and claim exclusive pre-registration rewards.

Get ready to gear up and lock in your sights as Delta Force Hawk Ops is confirmed to release on PC next month. The free-to-play tactical first-person shooter is set to deliver a dynamic blend of gritty realism and futuristic combat, all powered by the cutting-edge Unreal Engine.

For fans of high-stakes team-based action, this game promises an experience that can battle the likes of Call of Duty Black Ops 6 and Battlefield 2042. In fact, with the playtests and demos released in the past year, fans of the genre are pouring stellar reviews, even saying it is already more polished than a lot of finished games these days.

In the game, players will be transported back to 1993 to relive the pulse-pounding Delta Force Black Hawk Down campaign. As an elite Delta Force operator, you'll experience intense, boots-on-the-ground missions inspired by real-world events, with every explosion, firefight, and urban engagement reimagined in stunning detail.

The second timeframe the game takes place is in 2035 where you'll join G.T.I., a peace-keeping unit established by former Delta operators. Here, you'll be facing a new enemy, the Haavk Corporation. In this futuristic setting, you'll need to master advanced combat gadgets and work seamlessly with your squad to outwit enemies and unearth the dark secrets of Ahsarah.

Delta Force Hawk Ops Open Beta

The game is moving forward into an exciting new phase. The global open beta, previously referred to as Early Access, will be the initial release version and will be available for PC on December 5. Don't worry for console players, this version is estimated to release Q1 of 2025.

The Delta Force Hawk Ops open beta will feature the first season called Genesis. With it are new content including a new Operator, adding to the existing roster of seven published on the official website. Alongside this, are fresh FPS gameplay modes and unique battlegrounds in both Warfare and Hazard Operation. The former is a massive 32v32 mode, while the latter is a squad-based PvPvE.

Leading up to the Delta Force Hawk Op PC launch, more information will be revealed on new weapons, vehicles, appearances, UI, game mechanics, language options, and more.

With a huge open beta on the horizon, it has today revealed some encouraging news about its plans for delivering new content to the game.

In a new update, Team Jade has acted on players' requests to remove bots from Delta Force Warfare lobbies. The bots now find a new home in a co-op training mode.

The launch of Delta Force's fully open, early access beta is less than a month away, and in the build up the folks at Team Jade are putting on weekly livestreams full of developer insight and announcements. Its most recent stream focuses on Warfare, the large-scale, attackers-versus-defenders mode that strikes a very similar note to the Battlefield series. Big squads, vehicles everywhere, objectives to capture – you know the vibe. Those who have already played the FPS game during its limited-time alphas and betas have been full of praise for the Warfare experience, but the inclusion of bots to fill out lobbies was a major fly in the ointment.

However, Team Jade has just confirmed that when the Delta Force release date arrives, there will no longer be any AI-controlled bots in multiplayer Warfare modes – it will be real players only. This is one of the most requested changes across the entire Delta Force experience (which also includes an extraction mode) so it's great to see it implemented.

For those who want to learn the ropes, practice with new weapons or vehicles, or simply want more of a PvE experience, Team Jade says there will still be a version of Warfare that lets you play against bots. You can also form a squad with a few of your friends for this mode as well.

Delta Force has really impressed so far with its tactical milsim gameplay, but that's all for nothing if you haven't got a strong lineup of fun, varied maps to play on. Thankfully, there will be five Warfare maps ready and waiting for you when the open beta goes live, and as part of its future content commitment (more on that in a moment) a new Warfare map will arrive in every major update. However, for its first post-launch update, Team Jade says a double dose of new maps will arrive – from then on out it will just be the one, though.

Within this lineup of launch Warfare maps is Cracked, which FPS fans of a certain vintage may remember from 2003's Delta Force Black Hawk Down. This has been recreated for the new Delta Force after the development team spent weeks playing each other in the original version. Trench Lines is another map inspired by the old Delta Force games and, as the name suggests, provides trench combat experience.

As mentioned, the developer also during this stream affirmed its post-launch content plans. It says "promises" to deliver a new major update every three months, and within each major update will be one new playable operator, one new Warfare map, and a variety of fresh weaponry, vehicles, and spin-off game modes.

Team Jade is also committing to one entirely new Warfare mode every year. With the launch iteration of Warfare playing a lot like the Rush mode from Battlefield, these new modes will likely add in some of the other large-scale experiences the series and other FPS rivals have to offer.

The upcoming release of Delta Force on consoles is generating significant excitement in the gaming community, especially with the announcement that it will be free-to-play upon its launch on August 19, 2025. This strategic move by the developers is expected to attract a wide audience, considering the game's previous success on Steam, where it has garnered a mixed but substantial user base.

In addition to the core gameplay, players will also receive a free DLC campaign, the Black Hawk Down mode, which is a remake inspired by the iconic 2001 film. This addition could enhance the game's appeal, as it intertwines nostalgic elements with modern gameplay mechanics.

The game promises a rich experience with three distinct modes: large-scale PvP warfare, intense extraction shooter action, and the aforementioned Black Hawk Down campaign. With 32v32 PvP dynamics and PvE elements, Delta Force aims to deliver both competitive and cooperative experiences for players.

The developers shared their enthusiasm during a recent Season Break Preview Stream, emphasising their hard work in bringing the console version to fruition.

"We've been working hard [on the console version] and today we finally have some good news to share. The console version of Delta Force will be officially launched on August 19. It will be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, and it will be free-to-play. Black Hawk Down will also be released as a free DLC."

Overall, the anticipation for Delta Force is palpable, and it will be interesting to see how it performs in the competitive landscape of tactical shooters upon its release.
