Overview: After stealing the Tesseract during the events of “Avengers: Endgame,” an alternate version of Loki is brought to the mysterious Time Variance Authority, a bureaucratic organization that exists outside of time and space and monitors the timeline. They give Loki a choice: face being erased from existence due to being a “time variant” or help fix the timeline and stop a greater threat.

Starting in May 2021.

It at least answers where it fits in the timeline - so effectively this will operate within another universe it seems.

Looks a lot of fun. Shades of the Umbrella Academy though with its setting of some kind of buttoned-up, interdimensional agency...

Have I got this right?

This Loki isn't our Loki but the villain Loki is our Loki

I'm a bit confused on who's timeline we are supposed to be in

This Loki is a few hours after the first Avengers film. So he's just killed Coulson, summoned the aliens through the portal to destroy New York, and got slapped around by the Hulk. Hence the marks on his face.

But with him being given glances of his mother dying, Thor mourning over his body, and his death, he has moved quickly through 9 years of character development and he'll probably seem no different than the Loki we seen at the end of Ragnarok.

It's a bit of a cheap trick to give us the Loki from Ragnarok back but I'm fine with it.

Really enjoyed that first episode. The soundtrack is class, love the mood of it. Same goes for the styling. The TVA really feels like a place outside of time.

They handled Loki's character progression very well IMO. It landed well and gets him at least a step away from the villain he was in Thor/Avengers. I think the additional realization that "he" caused his mothers death (I don't think that connection was made with prime Loki) helped him quickly see that path he was on was the wrong one. He won't (and shouldn't) be Ragnorak/Endgame Loki but at least we've moved past him being just a villain.

The Infinity Stones moment was quite something.

The whole multiverse thing too should be very interesting to see unravel. I assume this will end with the prime timeline being branched beyond control and it leads in to the Spiderman and Doctor Strange movies. It'll probably ultimately be what introduces the F4 and X-Men.

Time travel stories are inherently messy. The episode was OK. I'm very interested to see where it goes.

I like it, I liked episode 1, I liked 2 better, but I like Tom Hiddleston and Owen Wilson, so I'm probably easily pleased

I'm finding this far more interesting than Wandavision or Falcon and the Winter Soldie. Maybe because Loki has been very enjoyable throughout the MCU, Tom Hiddleston plays him so well

Started yesterday. Off to a solid start.

This is the only Marvel show that excites me.
