Looks well made and high quality but I don't know if I can bring myself to watch another grim bit of misery.

I have read the book, so the trailer seems to have captured the crushing, constant misery of the frontlines of WW1; as Dylan says, not sure I could fashion the enthusiasm to surround myself with its misery. Even if it looks very visceral from that promotion, with some intense action set-pieces to punctuate the despair.

I saw this last night. Absolutely stunning and very, very harrowing. It really captured the futility and desperation of war.

It's horrible what took place towards the end, what a waste of young men's lives.

So glad they re-made this. It shows how brutal World War One was.

This film reminded me of "Come & See" another war film, now on Youtube.

A really stunning film about German soldiers during World War One. Really brings home the stupidity of war and the waste of human life.

Read the book, it is even better.

I thought the film was good and the actor who played Paul was excellent. There's three versions that have been made over the years, apparently the second is excellent too.
