Unbelievable social media post from anyone in a position of power, never mind the President of the United States. He is so mentally unbalanced it's unreal.

On Truth Social, President Donald Trump has used expletive language in a social media post to call on Iran to let ships through the Strait of Hormuz.

He announced that Tuesday will be "power plant day and bridge day all wrapped up in one in Iran" - presumably a reference to his threats to destroy Iranian infrastructure.

He continues: "Open the Fuckin' Strait, you crazy bastards, or you'll be living in Hell - JUST WATCH! Praise be to Allah. President DONALD J. TRUMP"

Donald Trump has warned that "a whole civilisation will die tonight" unless Iran agrees to reopen the Strait of Hormuz before his 20:00 EDT deadline on Tuesday (Wednesday 00:00 GMT).

The US President also claimed that "something revolutionarily wonderful can happen" before the cut-off, as tensions continue to rise. Iran has reportedly said it will respond in kind to any US strikes on civilian infrastructure by targeting sites in Gulf states. US forces are also said to have carried out fresh strikes on military targets on Kharg Island, a key oil export terminal.

Meanwhile, Iranian state media reports two people have been killed following a strike on a bridge in Kashan. This comes after Israel warned civilians not to use trains "for the sake of your security", while the Israeli military says Iran has launched further missiles, with several Gulf nations reporting strikes overnight.

I'm beginning to think the FIFA Peace Award was a scam.

If this were Russia or China making such threats, the whole world would be in uproar.

Flipped again. We could now have a ceasefire. From his Truth Social account

Based on conversations with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir, of Pakistan, and wherein they requested that I hold off the destructive force being sent tonight to Iran, and subject to the Islamic Republic of Iran agreeing to the COMPLETE, IMMEDIATE, and SAFE OPENING of the Strait of Hormuz, I agree to suspend the bombing and attack of Iran for a period of two weeks. This will be a double sided CEASEFIRE! The reason for doing so is that we have already met and exceeded all Military objectives, and are very far along with a definitive Agreement concerning Longterm PEACE with Iran, and PEACE in the Middle East. We received a 10 point proposal from Iran, and believe it is a workable basis on which to negotiate. Almost all of the various points of past contention have been agreed to between the United States and Iran, but a two week period will allow the Agreement to be finalized and consummated. On behalf of the United States of America, as President, and also representing the Countries of the Middle East, it is an Honor to have this Longterm problem close to resolution. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP

President Donald Trump has issued a threat to blockade the vital Strait of Hormuz following the collapse of negotiations with Iran and a surge in oil prices. While the US later clarified it would not impede vessels through this critical shipping route, a blockade targeting Iranian ports was confirmed to commence.

This region is of immense geopolitical significance, being a key passage for global oil transport. Approximately 20 million barrels of oil traverse the strait daily, accounting for a significant portion of the world's energy needs. The strait, only 24 miles wide at its narrowest point, is flanked by Iran and several major oil-producing countries, underscoring its strategic importance.

The tensions escalated after peace talks in Islamabad failed, primarily due to disputes over Iran's nuclear ambitions and control of the strait. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has warned that any military presence near the strait would be viewed as a breach of ceasefire, indicating the delicate balance of power in the region.

Despite the ceasefire, the flow of vessels has been constrained, with many ship owners hesitant to operate in the area due to ongoing risks. The International Energy Agency has warned that the world is facing an unprecedented energy crisis, with disruptions in supply far exceeding historical events.

The ramifications of these geopolitical maneuvers are profound, and experts predict a potential long-term economic impact even if hostilities cease. The complexity of the situation highlights the intertwined nature of global energy security and international relations.

Trump has extended the ceasefire with Iran, saying the Tehran regime was "seriously fractured". The last-minute move follows a request from Pakistan, which has been mediating in the conflict. However, the US president said the blockade of Iran's ports would remain in force.

According to Trump's people. The deal with Iran is done, and the Strait of Hormuz is open; the U.S Navy blockade is lifted. Peace in Trump's time, though the virtual signing of the document is not done yet, and the IRG are denying there's a deal.

While an end to the war is to be celebrated, we shouldn't forget who caused this.

The cynic in me is that this is a ruse. Spike inflation with a war, end the war and then spread a narrative that you are responsible for falling prices.

I fully expect the US to fall for this shit.

If a peace deal is signed but Israel didnt agree to it. And then afterwards they launch missiles at Iran again using "self defense" bullshit as an excuse... what would happen then?
