Avatar: The Way of Water (2022) Movie Thread

Saw this yesterday.

It was very predictable. I wanted to like it. There is just too little to like in the Avatar world. It's a film that regardless of all it's technical breaking of ground, left me feeling that I've seen this film a hundred times before.

Took my niece to see this today.

For the underwater scenes, they really went to town and it looked incredible. The Dances with Whale sub-plot was a bit iffy and it did drag in parts but generally romped along nicely. I've seen plenty of films an hour shorter that felt longer. The action scenes were superb. Especially when water got involved.

Spectacular film, watched in a 4DX cinema, blown away.

Story was pretty poor, just like the first one, but who cares when the rest is this good.

Finally got around to watching this and thoroughly enjoyed it.

It didn't disappoint and the three and a half hours flew by.

A visual feast and proper blockbuster.
