Knives Out would be first recommendation. It's a very fun whodunnit set in a mansion full of the squabbling children and grandchildren of a billionaire whose death is being investigated by Daniel Craig as a sort of southern gentleman Miss Marple. It was very popular, so this isn't an eccentric recommendation.

Richard Jewell was the best of the good for me.
