Britain Becoming An Eyesore General Chat

I don't rant much but is it just me or is this entire country going to ruin?

Litter everywhere, graffiti, potholes, badly maintained roads, broken pavements, derelict buildings, shops shut down, vandalism.…the place has become a filthy, rotten mess.

I swear it wasn't like this even ten years ago

Litter is one of my biggest annoyances. Nothing more than pure bone idleness.

A lot of the problems are due to council budgets being cut to the bare bones. Reactive rather than proactive policies nowadays. The roads are in the worst condition I've seen them in at the moment. Potholes everywhere.

However there used to be a level of respect in society that simply doesn't exist now.

Reminds me of the state of the place growing up in the 80s and early 90s. At least councils could afford to pick up after litter bugs then, we had keep Britain tidy campaigns and there wasn't so much unnecessary plastic - though there was glass everywhere.
