Frank Lampard has been sacked by Everton following their 2-0 loss at West Ham United.

Everton's ownership made the decision to dispense with Lampard's services on Monday.

Lampard's side were beaten 2-1 by 20th-placed Southampton last weekend and their latest defeat prompted the board to act, with Everton only off the bottom of the table on goal difference.

I think the job at Everton will difficult for any new manager. The financial restrictions will do them in. For Lampard I think he jumped levels way to early. He should take time and think carefully about next steps. I think he lacks the managerial skills for the Premier League

Amazed he got the job in the first place. Absolutely no track record of success. Chelsea were a shambles when he left and Tuchel (a proper coach) sorted them and won a champions league with the same group.

He seems like a nice bloke, which probably explains why noone in the media called him out..... But he is not a top coach. He should work as an assistant to a top coach for 3-4 years to learn the trade the way Arteta and Ten Haag did under Pep.

Lampard would be better off taking charge of a Championship side or managing abroad to get some more experience.

I still think Everton will go down. Bang average players. Complete shambles of a club. Terrible owners. No team unity or identity.

I don't see Lampard getting another job in the Premier League any time soon. Maybe next year when a promoted club sacks their manager.

Everton are in a whole lot of trouble.

Lampard should take some time off from management, then probably go to a Championship club to continue to hone his skills.
