The post provides clear and relevant information about Eddie Howe's departure and the potential replacement, making it valuable to the community. However, it could benefit from further context regarding the implications of this change for Newcastle United.

Eddie Howe is set to leave his position as Newcastle United head coach, with Matthias Jaissle of Al Ahli poised to replace him.

Howe decided to remain at St. James' Park at the end of last season but has since had a change of heart and will depart in the coming days after five years in charge.

The situation is amicable and Newcastle are well prepared for his exit, with talks between Jaissle and the club at an advanced stage.

Jaissle, 38, is a two-time Asian Champions League winner with Al Ahli – who, like Newcastle, are majority owned by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund.

Howe's departure is no surprise. It's probably the right move for both the club and Howe, but the timing is terrible, so close to the start of the Premier League season.

Newcastle have sold their best players - Isak, Gordon, Tonali, and Guimaraes has said he wants to leave. Lewis Hall could potentially be sold, too.

He is being replaced by Matthias Jaissle. Jaissle, 38, is a two-time Asian Champions League winner with Al Ahli – who, like Newcastle, are majority owned by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF).

I reckon they're in for a rough, rough season.

It all went wrong for them after winning their first trophy in god knows how many years.

They promised to sign the biggest names in football when the Saudis took over but the reality was much different. Then they started losing their best players, starting with Isak.

I like Eddie Howe, but I don't think he did an outstanding job, and moving on is probably the right move for both the club and him.

I reckon they're in for a rough, rough season.
I can see them struggling this year - much like Tottenham have in the past 2 years.

Howe was right to leave. At least his stock will be higher doing that instead of being sacked a few months in.
