US pop star Olivia Rodrigo and British band The 1975 will headline the Glastonbury festival this summer, organisers have announced.

They will be joined by five-time Brit Award winner Charli XCX - who will top the bill on the festival's second stage on Saturday 28 June.

There will also be debut Glastonbury performances by Alanis Morisette, Noah Kahan, Gracie Abrams, Lola Young and US rap phenomenon Doechii, who will headline the West Holts stage. Returning favourites include Wolf Alice, Wet Leg, Fatboy Slim, Loyle Carner and Scissor Sisters.

Rock legend Neil Young has already been announced as the Saturday night headliner, with Rod Stewart playing the Sunday afternoon "legend slot".

The best thing the 1975 have done is make me switch off BBC 1 and watch BBC 4. I don't know who this guy is, but he's very good. Loyle Carner, I think.

I've never listened to The 1975 properly before, and I don't think I ever will.

It was nice to see Lewis Capaldi back on stage. He almost held it together during Someone You Loved.

Wolf Alice were so good. Definitely future headliners.

Rod Stewart was surprisingly good, his band and backing singers were superb.

The Prodigy were mental, in a good way.

Olivia Rodrigo has been superb. She's one of these modern-day artists that actually lives up to and deserves the hype, imo.

Olivia Rodrigo was excellent. Superb songs, brilliant voice, and exceptional crowd management. The crowd participation was immense. She was a perfect closer for the festival.

I caught the end of Olivia Rodrigo last night, and from what I saw, it looked like a good set.

I watched Lewis Capaldi this morning. I got a bit emotional. As someone who suffers from mental health issues, I was heartbroken when he had his breakdown at Glastonbury 2023. It's brilliant to see him back.

I've not seen any of the Glastonbury footage yet but Olivia Rodrigo is superb.

I always think the 'tiny desk' concerts give a good idea of whether a band or artist has genuine talent.

She has it in spades.
