Luther: The Fallen Sun (2023) Movie Thread

Loved the TV series, they've made a movie that is out now at cinemas. Tempted to go see it tomorrow.

The last season of the TV series had a great premise with the husband and wife serial killing team but unfortunately Luther barely got involved with that and spent to much time sidetracked with Alice and the old gangster

Hopefully they're won't be any distractions for him this time around

I enjoyed it more than the final 2 seasons of the TV series.

I think they are setting the scene for future movies Netflix will want to make this a franchise and I think Luther could be some sort of secret agent or spy - a Jason Bourne/James Bond type character.

I had never heard of the Luther series until a couple of days before watching the movie, but I thought the film was very enjoyable. I'm sure there were plenty of plot holes and exaggerations, but for what it was trying to be, it was very entertaining. Plenty of action, decent story, a credible baddie etc.

I didn't feel like I was missing out on any backstory. There didn't seem like there was meant to be any connection between the Robey story and anything that may have gone before, at least nothing obvious anyway.
