I've been offered a mesh extender for £60 to try and solve my range issues (380 Mbps at router, 25 Mbps at back of house, zero outside or upstairs). Are they any good, and will it solve the problem? I see Argos are going a set of 3 for £85, that must be a better option surely?

I've already got 2 x TP-Link non-mesh extenders, but they're pretty useless.

Also had some powerline ones, but they stopped working and didn't reach outside anyway.

What's the best solution to get that 380 Mbps speed somewhere it can actually be used?

I've got TP-Link Deco mesh. Works all over the house and in the garden. I'm happy with them.

You can get a 3 pack for roughly £100

I'd go with these, I have them and they've worked really well. Tried my broadband provider's own, but not even close.

After some advice.

I',ve got Sky broadband but the router is stuck under the stairs. I get 500Mb to the router, but I often get big drops to around 30-50mb. Could this be caused by it being stuck in a cupboard or just needs a better router?

If the former, any remedies for this that avoid drilling through and extending cables? Would Mesh Wi-fi help?

Being in a cupboard won't help but it's a shit router to start with.

Mesh system is a very good solution to get coverage all over
