Dr. Death is good - there are 3 series, different stories, all compelling (to me at least!)

Came across "Dissecting the 80s" recently

Two brothers breaking down 80s movies and tv shows, some episodes are better than others but overall a solid listen if you're interested in 80s movies.

The Drop Out is very good. As is Bad Blood, on the same subject, hosted by John Carreyrou who wrote the book of the same name and is largely responsible for the downfall of Theranos.

Fascinating "success" story, unicorn start-up company ($1billion plus valuation). Interesting podcast on BBC Sounds

BBC Sounds - Good Ship BrewDog - Available Episodes

James Watt, wrong'un imo.
Horrible company selling mostly shit beer. Their valuation is insane and based on sand given their "investment" from the private equity fund is really very expensive convertible debt.

And calling yourself "Captain" because you drove one of your daddy's fishing boats for a couple of years is beyond pathetic. The CEO is a bellend of epic proportions.

That podcast is worth a listen though.

Some of their beer is pretty good (and should be for the price!) though I'd wish they concentrate on consistent quality rather than endless specials you see once and never again. On a hot summers day their Elvis Juice is very drinkable.

Not so keen on their pubs though as they are just industrial barns and they don't like you hanging around the bar. Food is rather underwhelming too.

They still pretend that they are a startup taking on the big boys yet their beer is now available in almost every pub and supermarket. Can't argue that they are brilliant at self-promotion though.

George Groves Boxing Club. You get a real honesty here from a recently retired top level sportsman. He pulls in some quality interviewees too and looks at different aspects each week (eg training, money, defeats). Co-hosted by a boxing journo to help keep it on track.

Fall of Civilisations is excellent.

Really well researched and narrated. It tells the story of a different civilisation in each episode and goes onto their way of life etc and their eventual demise. I had forgotten about it for months but am back into it now again and I'm really enjoying it.

Tunnel 29 (BBC Intrigue) is great. It's the true story of an escape to the west via a tunnel dug by a group of students under the Berlin Wall. There are 10 episodes. Excellent podcast.
