Pokemon Diamond and Pearl are receiving remakes on the Nintendo Switch. In its latest Pokemon Presents, The Pokemon Company confirmed Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, set to release in late 2021 for Switch. Check out the announcement trailer below.

Despite sporting a 3D-style, the art-style maintains the size and scale of the original DS titles. Though field models are chibi-style, the battles use standard-sized models like Pokemon Sword and Shield. The title is being developed by ILCA (which worked on Pokemon Home) and will see Junichi Masuda, who worked on the original games, returning.

Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl will feature all of the Pokemon from the original releases, right down to the original starter Pokemon. Stay tuned for more details and gameplay footage. There's also a new title called Pokemon Legends: Arceus coming next year for Switch, which will take the series open world for the first time.

The Pokemon Company unveiled another title coming to the Switch next year. Pokemon Legends: Arceus is a new kind of entry in the series from developer Game Freak.

This is a 3D action RPG, similar in style to something like Zelda: Breath of the Wild, that sees players exploring an older version of the Sinnoh region in order to complete the first-ever Pokedex.

Things aren't all that different from your regular Pokemon game; your character still starts the game by picking one of three starter Pokemon – Rowlet, Cyndaquil, or Oshawott – from a mysterious professor who has been travelling around the world and has presumably been the Johto, Unova and Alola regions.

You're also mostly catching critters and making them battle like the awful sadist that you are. But it's 3D, and therefore better as a result. Oh, and you can now sneak up on Pokemon.

There's also some chatter about the titular legendary Pokemon, Arceus, who apparently shaped everything in the world and is somehow connected to your story. Because of course.

Pokemon Legends: Arceus will release worldwide for all regions on the Switch in early 2022. In the meantime, Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl will release in late 2021 for the Nintendo Switch. Developed by ILCA, it will also see Junichi Masuda, director for the original titles, returning.

After a long wait, we are finally getting a sequel to the Pokemon picture taking simulator, titled simply New Pokemon Snap. The game will come in April, but today we got a trailer highlighting the various things you can do in the game, as well as its region.

In a new trailer from the Pokemon Presents, we got a big highlight for the Lental region, where the game will take place. The video also showed some of the Pokemon you'll be taking shots of. Much like the original game, you can do things to change their expressions or movements, such as throwing baits to get reaction shots. Your pictures will get rated based on rarity, leading to more rewards.

The game will also have a social element, where you can share pictures online, where people can like it, and those with the most likes will be featured. This is most likely the online portion that was referenced when the eShop listing went live earlier in the year.

New Pokemon Snap is set to release as a Nintendo Switch exclusive on April 30th.
