Rumours about a "list" doing the rounds in Hollywood and actors who spoke openly in support of Palestine are being dropped from their agencies and/or fired from projects.

Susan Sarandon has been dropped by her agency after speaking at a rally in support of Palestine (although she did make some poor word choices) and Melissa Barerra has apparently been fired from the Scream franchise for supporting Palestine.

Strange days.

I've seen the usual like Elf, Die Hard, Christmas Vacation, It's a Wonderful Life, Home Alone 1+2, Scrooged, many versions of A Christmas Carol, Love Actually.

And modern favourites like Klaus and plan a rewatch of Christmas Chronicles.

What are some underrated or lesser known films?

Or just what are your favourites?

Maybe I'm missing ones that I keep meaning to watch but never got around to. I only watched Love Actually last year for the first time.

Top Gun 3, the upcoming installment in Tom Cruise's iconic aerial action franchise, is in development at Paramount.

Ehren Kruger, co-writer of Top Gun: Maverick, is crafting the screenplay for the new sequel.

The film will see Cruise reuniting with Miles Teller and Glen Powell, who played younger characters under Cruise's mentorship in Maverick.

Just watched a 2011 thriller called Haywire, it wasn't very good despite a cast that included starring Gina Carano, Michael Fassbender, Ewan McGregor, Bill Paxton, Channing Tatum, Antonio Banderas, and Michael Douglas, and was directed by Steven Soderbergh.

Unpopular opinion: Steven Soderbergh is totally overrated and not very good.

An odd one for me. I have it in my head that he is a decent director, maybe because I liked Sex Lies and Videotape. However, when I look at his filmography there aren't many of his films that I'd say I "love".

Even his best stuff I find often tends to be emotionally cold.

The release date for 'Batman 2' has been delayed a full year.

Warner Bros. Discovery announced that the release has been postponed to October 2, 2026.

Robert Pattinson is set to return to his role in the sequel, which was initially scheduled for release in October 2025. However, due to script development challenges during the Hollywood strikes in 2023, the release date has been postponed.
