The original with Patrick Swayze is kinda a cult classic (is anything with Swayze, not a "cult classic"?)

Not sure about this remake/reboot though.

Honestly, so bad it was almost unwatchable at times.

It was bad enough as it was with poor acting and nonsensical story. Then Connor McGregor happened. Wow.

The worst acting I have ever seen in my life. He was truly appalling. Some half-decent fight scenes aside the remake is an absolute crock of shite and McGregor needs to never return to the big screen.

I've just finished it and that was absolutely absolutely next level rubbish.

I've just watched it. It falls into the so bad its good category for me. But when Connor McGregor turned up :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I never really understand the point of remaking or redoing films that already have a cult status. They're films that are already well loved and well known. Surely it's much better to take a film that didn't work or didn't fully expand on its promise and make those better. It would be utterly pointless to redo a film like E.T. for example. It's a classic, it's iconic, it's got all of the right elements to be memorable and loved. There's no way to top it. Part of the charm with films from a bygone era is that they were products of their time, and watching them is like looking through a window into the past.

What moviegoers are looking for isn't Roadhouse redone in the latest definition or with the current stars of today. They're looking for films to give us the same feeling that films such as Roadhouse gave us back when we watched them. That's the thing that these remakes seem to miss out on. It's part of the reason why Strangers Things, for example, became such a big hit. It was a new, fresh idea, but it evoked the same sorts of feelings that people would have watching those old 70s and 80s classics like E.T, Close Encounters, Stand By Me, etc.

As for the film, I gave up halfway through and Mrs Dylan didn't even last that long!

It wasn't too bad up until the point Conor McGregor appeared. He was so bad 😂

That's 2 hours I won't get back, utter garbage.

Nothing good to say about this, just watch the original instead.

We've all agreed it is bad but with over 50 million viewers over the first two weekends, it has beaten any other original movie produced for Prime Video.

The huge success of the film has been contentious – after Amazon made the decision to not release it in cinemas and screen the film exclusively on Amazon Prime.

Still doesn't mean it is good though!
