Absolutely fantastic movie, especially the 2nd half. Anne Hathaway and Matt Damon were both superb.

The only minor gripes were that Robert Pattinson's character was almost too cartoony a villain, and some of the words used sounded a bit out of place in a period movie. Although I suppose it's easy to suspend disbelief on that aspect since they wouldn't really be speaking English anyway.

Really good movie, probably his best since Inception.

I thought it was excellent.

Matt Damon was brilliant Odysseus. Also thought John Leguizamo was great as Eumaeus. The set pieces were epic and very well done.

Watched it the other day, and the first hour or so was a bit slow, but the rest of the movie was epic. I do think some of the casting choices were odd - Tom Holland was quite weak in his role, for example.

Saw it last night with relatively high expectations after seeing all the hype and reviews over the last week or so.

Decent, but I had expected a lot more.

I would have preferred some fresher faces in the casting - this is more a personal thing, but I just find it hard to really buy into Matt Damon as Odysseus when I already know that face as a bunch of other characters from other films.

The pacing was rough. It's hard trying to cram 24 books of source material into a single film. Still, it felt like the film never gives itself a chance to breathe - it's just one thing after another after another.

Incredible. Easily the best movie I've seen in many, many years
