A longrunning show that should've ended a long time ago

Amen. I remember seeing the original Simpsons spots in the Tracey Ullman Show, a variety-comedy series Fox had in its early days. Those and the first few seasons remain "The Simpsons" in my memory. It's a shadow of its former self. Matt Groening, the creator, went to give us the brilliant s-f comedy Futurama, though.

It should have finished about 15 years ago. Sadly, it has gone way past its sell-by date, at its peak, it was undoubtedly a brilliant show, but as time as gone on it's been getting worse and worse, the plotlines have gone stale and the characters have gone stale.
