ESPN reporting that Edinson Cavani has been signed by Man United!!

Can't make my mind up whether this would be a great signing or one made in desperation before the end of the transfer window.

I like Cavani and he will score goals. He puts himself about. He is a work horse. He is experienced as they come and his physicality will mean he should get on well in England. Had he arrived 5 or so years ago he would have made a fantastic impression, less so now but still will be a good signing I think.

Ben Godfrey joins Everton for £20m from Norwich.
Moise Kean joins PSG on loan from Everton.
Juan Foyth joins Villarreal from Spurs.
Ryan Sessegnon is off to Hoffenheim on a season-long loan.
Arsenal has triggered Thomas Partey's release clause.

Theo Walcott to leave Everton possibly back to Southampton.
Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting seems to have joined Bayern Munich.
Bayern has also signed Douglas Costa on loan from Juventus.
Chelsea want an £8m loan fee for Loftus-Cheek plus an extra £175k a month

Man United have signed Cavani and Porto's Brazilian left-back Alex Telles.

Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi has joined Hertha Berlin on a season-long loan.

Roma has signed Manchester United defender Chris Smalling on a three-year deal worth 15m euros (£13.6m), rising to 20m euros (£18.1m) with add-ons.

Premier League strugglers Fulham are trying to sign Chelsea and England midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Manchester City's Tosin Adarabioyo. They want to conclude a permanent deal for Adarabioyo, with Loftus-Cheek joining on loan

Arsenal have just announced they secured the signing of Thomas Partey before the window closed. Quality signing!

PSG have squeezed in Barcelona's Rafinha before the deadline on a free transfer. A decent window for them. I like the Danilo signing, though he's getting on a bit now. Kean is a decent replacement for Choupo-Moting (amazed that he's now at Bayern).

Not a fan of United's last-ditch business, although I think Telles will be an upgrade. Really like Arsenal's move for Partey. I can see him fitting in well in the league.

Real Madrid have been eerily quiet. They must be planning some mad moves next year. Mbappe the top target, presumably.
