After a few months without one I finally bought a new microwave today.

I bought microwaveable popcorn too and tonight I sat watching a film, stuffing my face with popcorn.

I cleared out my garden shed! My missus said that it is the first time I've thrown any of its contents out in 11 years.

A sense of achievement and good to do something physically tiring.

Looking forward to multiple trips to the tip tomorrow.

I took my uncle to visit his 90 year old pal. They haven't seen each other since last year. We're both vaccinated, as is everyone in the other man's house. They had some craic, there was whiskey involved!

Takeaway pizza and chips for dinner. It was delicious

Eily and I took my parents for breakfast in an actual café today. We haven't been able to sit down and eat together in so long. It felt like such a novelty"

Oddly, going for an eye exam. It's probably the first close interaction I've had outside of home and work since this time last year, when I took advantage of a lull in the pandemic to get some dental work done.

I was at a 100th birthday party earlier today and was lucky enough to have a lovely chat with the birthday girl.

I congratulated her on turning 100 and said not many people reach such a milestone. It's just another day she told me with a smile on her face. I don't feel any different than I did yesterday.

The wisdom and spirit in her eyes would lift the soul. I could have chatted to her for hours but alas there was a queue
