Tomb Raider I

• Fixed a softlock that would occasionally occur in the Great Pyramid
• Fixed an issue with Inverted settings not working when holding the Look button in Tank Controls
• Fixed an issue where the Doppelganger limbs would stretch in the Atlantis Level
• Fixed an issue where audio would mute instead of pause when opening the inventory
• Fixed FMV stuttering on all consoles
• Fixed an issue with subtitles disappearing before the VO was finished
• Fixed medi pack textures in the SD version
• Fixed various issues with localizations and achievement texts in some languages
• Various improvements to skyboxes (skybox in the level Highland Fling, rainbows in the India levels are now present)

• Various visual upgrades have been made to the Thames Wharf level

• Various improvements to aiming, turning, and sprinting when using modern controls.

The recent announcement from Aspyr regarding the Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered is generating buzz among fans. A new free challenge mode is now available, which enhances gameplay with customizable difficulty options. This means players can tailor health, damage, bonuses, and enemies, potentially creating unique challenges and increasing replayability.



One of the standout features of this update is the introduction of 10 new outfits for Lara Croft, each offering distinct bonuses, like enhanced running speed. Additionally, gamers seeking to complete their achievements can look forward to 15 new challenges added to the update.

The remastered collection is also set to launch on Google Play, iOS, and Switch 2, with notable performance improvements. For existing Switch owners, there will be a free upgrade option that boosts resolution to 1440p at 60fps in docked mode and 1080p at 120fps in handheld mode.

This remaster, released in 2024, received a four-star rating, although it maintains some dated qualities that evoke nostalgia. As Christian Donlan noted in his review, the collection beautifully captures the essence of the original Tomb Raider games, despite some control frustrations.
