Train Derailment in Aberdeenshire After Hours

Looks like a ScotRail train has derailed near Aberdeen following the bad weather they've had in the past 24 hours.

No pictures anywhere near the scene as far as I can tell on Twitter etc but a lot of smoke coming from the crash site.

Fingers crossed it looks worse than it actually is and everyone has got out ok.

The driver, a conductor and a passenger were killed in the incident in Aberdeenshire.

Fingers crossed that people have gotten off the train safely, the smoke is worrying but there seems to be plenty of emergency services on the scene.

Reports are saying the driver has died and there is a possible second fatality. Nine passengers and three staff on board.

Fingers crossed there are no more fatalities. That is a truly terrible crash but hopefully, most of the passengers and staff escaped injury and serious injury.

Sky reporting 3 dead and a number taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

12 people were aboard the train 6 passengers and 6 staff.
